For 60 years, DEF has been continuously innovating to address today’s fire safety challenges. Also in 2022, DEF takes another step and launches its 4th series of addressable detectors consisting of intelligent, connected detectors with a refined design. Our LOTA range guarantees an important breakthrough on the fire safety market in Belgium and Europe.

This new range of fire detection systems fully addresses the recurring problems of our customers: ease of commissioning, early detection and reduction of false alarms.

The LOTCA, the top detector of the range, represents a real technological revolution on the Belgian market. It is a fire detector consisting of 4 sensors (a dual optical path, a thermal probe and a carbon monoxide sensor) and the first to comply with the latest European certification EN54-31.

By combining the analysis of 4 sensors, the LOTA series detectors are able to determine the type of fire to which they are exposed. While they can better distinguish between fire and other phenomena, reducing the number of false alarms. In addition, the LOTA series with its extensive memory is able to record the alarm context for later analysis. This function is similar to that of the black box of an airplane and makes it possible to explain alarm phases afterwards.

With the new LOTA range, custom fire detection is finally becoming the standard!
