The general mission of the DG Humanisation of Labour of the FPS Employment, Labour and Social Dialogue is to prepare, promote and implement the policy on well-being at work and to raise awareness among social and economic actors on the humanisation of work. The management of the Belgian focal point of EU-OSHA is part of this.

The mission of the Belgian focal point is to:
• manage and coordinate the national tripartite network of all stakeholders in the field of safety and health at work (OSH);
• collect all relevant information on OSH, with special attention to good practices;
• actively contribute to the EU-OSHA management plan;
• disseminate all relevant information from EU-OSHA within the network;
• conduct the European campaign;
• stimulate and facilitate joint actions by various stakeholders to improve OSH in small and medium-sized enterprises;
• develop and promote sectoral national OiRA tools (interactive online risk assessment tools) in Belgium, and
• set up cross-border cooperation to promote good practices and support prevention projects.
