On Wednesday 15 May, the FPS Employment launched a new website that centralises most of the Belgian data on occupational risks and working conditions: https://data.risquesautravail.be.
For the first time in Belgium, a website brings together data from different sources and makes them available in digital form. The data comes in particular from social security institutions, external prevention services, social secretariats and specific surveys.

The site presents more than 500 indicators divided into three main themes related to the definition of occupational risk:

exposure to hazards,
consequences and damage,
prevention.
These indicators are presented in the form of interactive graphs that allow the user to apply different filters (gender, age, sectors of activity, years) to view and save the data.

It is important to have data in Belgium that can monitor the evolution of occupational risks and working conditions. Obtaining a global, common and digital vision of this data will allow stakeholders concerned with well-being at work to better adjust the policies and measures to be taken in terms of both awareness-raising and prevention. The challenge is to guarantee sustainable and sustainable working conditions to preserve the physical and mental health of workers throughout their professional careers.

Within the DG Humanisation of Work of the FPS Employment, the Directorate for Research on the Improvement of Working Conditions (DIRACT) received European support for the creation of this website. The project is funded by the European Union as part of Belgium’s National Plan for Recovery and Resilience (PRR).
