The extraordinary story of EMMA Safety Footwear starts with the miners of State Mine EMMA. Now, 93 years later, around 1,000 people worldwide work on our products every day. A special employment that we want to preserve sustainably.
Within its sustainability programme, EMMA works on fair working conditions and minimum risks in the supply chain, reducing its CO2 emissions in its chain and using recycled materials and ‘healthier’ materials with a lower footprint. EMMA is also a co-founder of the Green Gear Alliance, an alliance that focuses on return logistics, dismantling and reprocessing of worn safety footwear.
